Strengths: -helping in the process of professional capacitating, designing and training the production of new construction materials - generate a sustainable economy creating employment - community involvement, identification with the project - new products on the construction market - project already ongoing on the site, and in construction - relation with the community already existing
Difficulties: - guarantee the complete budget necessary for the construction of phase 2
Extra information: The proposed building (phase 2) will be used by the institute “Bola Pra Frente”, which already works in another part of Rio de Janeiro. It has about 2.000m² and Thyssen Krupp is involved in found-raising for the construction. The first phase was sponsored by Nike, organized by Architecture For Humanity. The new aspect in the project is the involvement of the community in material-production, the creation of business opportunities.
