Strengths: - Community sustaining complex - Use of local materials to build quality buildings that meet desperate needs - Sustainable building techniques of passive heating/cooling and rainwater collection
Difficulties: - There is a challenge to achieve a minimal disturbance on the natural environment while still creating a safe place for children - The lack of technical building knowledge in the area makes it essential to raise an understanding of local trades and local materials - The design team is communicating long distance (10,000 miles) - Balancing quality spatial environments created with limited resources and materials
