Improving the internal and external socio-physical integration in one of the slums of Buenos Aires city
Strengths: The project aim to define an urban design strategy for the integration of informal settlements, that enable them to become neighborhoods with an identity and social cultural significance. The tool and at the same time the main purpose of the intervention, is the public space, since it is through it that a new form of interaction between slum and city can be generated. Its connection with the pre-existing everyday life strategies is the project strengths.
Extra information: The proposals takes the spaces for social relationship as starting points, and tries to define in accordance with them the urban layout to be developed. In this sense, the official external-internal invasion reverses into an agreement process in which both context interact and integrate. The result is an interdependent network of centers and circulations that organizes and materializes (with alternative hierarchies and scales) the ways of social articulation of its own internal synergy.
