Building yourself an urban reserve
Strengths: The idea is to give to the citizens different tools to involve themselves in the development of their environment, respecting the patrimonial values of the old city but, at the same time, revitalize this tissue that tends towards temporal mummification.
Difficulties: Despite of the wide diffusion of this strategy by the moment nobody reproduced it.
Extra information: In a compact urban area with plenty of architectural heritage, as are most of centers of the historic Mediterranean cities, acting with light and reversible architecture would allow to reconcile the will of conservation and temporary spontaneous adaptation to the needs of citizens, encouraging a more dynamic city.
