Economic stimulation & re-activation agriculture, making the valley a touristic destination to stop urban sprawl
Strengths: Tourists will be lodged inside the crops and they will work with the farmers. The building will be self-manufactured with a minimum investment. Nearly 80% of the building is made with local constructive systems, materials and recycled resources; 90% of the building will work with low-tech systems.
Difficulties: The project proposes an urban development plan at a first stage, including round-table discussions with local citizens who have a lack of education and environmental awareness. The principal disadvantage it is the lack of interest by the local community, therefore it will be imperative to develop an education campaign concentrated in farmers and local population to create an environmental support base for our project.
Extra information: The project encourages mutual apprenticeship, increasing the environmental awareness, teaching new techniques for cultivation and energy/resources savings, under a sustainable and participating process.
