Urban Agriculture as Community Building
Strengths: Interaction between mainstream and marginal communities is fostered through thadjacent provision of same urban agriculture already in demand by both. An incremental module that can be part of larger development schemes.
Difficulties: Interaction between mainstream and marginal communities. Financing of assistance to marginal communities tied in with development by and for mainstream communities.
Extra information: Urban agricultural practices and living styles surprisingly similar in both communities in Tokyo.
